Hi. I’m MJ, an African American, pansexual woman in a heterosexual marriage and the mom
of two boys. I’m passionate about raising my boys in a sex-positive household while fully
aware that I’ll make tons of mistakes as I learn more about sexual health and sexuality
myself. I believe that everyone has a right to a healthy and pleasurable sexual life, no matter
age, race, ability, or sexual orientation. As long as everyone involved is an adult and has
given informed consent, well then… “Play on!” I am currently undertaking a master's in
sexology, hoping to bring sex ed and awareness to every little corner I can reach so that
sexual health and sexuality are as openly discussed as any other aspect of health. Under my
name, you’ll find articles on sexual health, sex and intimacy, with the occasional musings
about a topic from class, race and sex, and the occasional reviews. This blog is more of an
opinion piece than medical information, so please always consult a health practitioner when
in doubt.
