Different sites do different things, so let’s start out by talking about clipsites.

What are Clipsites?

Where tube sites are primarily home to short videos and gifs which are streamed for free, clipsites are the place to go to purchase longer videos from adult creators. Clipsites are places where professional, semi-professional and amateur models and production companies can sell their products. Although mainstream production companies run their own sites, the clipsites I am going to talk about are those where you can directly purchase from models and smaller producers, thereby supporting a more diverse range of creators in the industry.

Clipsites are the middlemen in the adult content world, due to banking restrictions affecting those who sell porn. Clipsites make sure content uploaded is consensual, does not violate banking rules or break the law. Clipsites host the content, manage the payment processing and promote models who share their content on their sites. They take a cut from each sale made by a model or production company. This differs from site to site, but this cut can be between 20-40% of every sale made.

The Main Players in the Clipsite World

Clips4Sale is one of the oldest clipsites on the internet. It was launched in 2003 and hosts one of the largest collections of fetish content, with over 7 million videos from 105,000 producers. As well as obscure fetish material, the site hosts mainstream content, making it a good place to expand your tastes.

ManyVids is Canadian based clipsite which was launched in 2014 and hosts over 2.2 million videos from 137,000 producers. Clip sales form one part of the site, which has diversified significantly in recent years. ManyVids divides their video collection into MVGirls, MVTrans, MVBoys and Producers, with further categories flowing from each of these streams

IWantClips (IWC) is the other big clipsite player, and although it is home to the biggest stars in Female Domination content, they also have a wide variety of other fetish material from male and trans models. IWC have diversified their adult content to include phone sex services; yes, that is still a thing!

How to Find and Buy Videos on Clipsites

All of these sites have search engines where you can plug in whatever you are looking for, including name of model, category or keywords. Models will tag their content and include detailed descriptions so that buyers can find what they are looking for. You would be surprised at what you can find by doing a relatively basic search (eg black lingerie).

Search functions vary from site to site, and for some you need to be really specific in what you are looking for from the get-go. That’s where the research on streaming sites comes in handy.

Clips4Sale have a great search function on their site which can help if you are not too sure what you are looking for. It will suggest related categories to the one you are searching, showing you categories you may not have thought of.

The method of buying clips is fairly similar to other online stores, with secure and discreet checkout, but you will need to set up a member account in order to purchase. Your clip will then be available for you to download, or will be placed in your “library” on the site for you to access and stream. It is important to note that some models will not allow clips to be downloaded, and will only allow streaming.
